Gomen ne minna >.< When I finally had the time to write the post, I realised I just had too much backlogs left. Now, lets continue with the Tokyo Saga, shall we~? XD
===========================
The first few days in Tokyo was not as cold as we expected. In fact, I could survive with just a thin jacket. Based on our assumption, we dressed lightly for Saitama, taking only "fashion" in consideration.
Big mistake.
The coordinate I had planned in SG.
Initially wanted to wear for Harajuku but Edris thought it was too normal for Haraju LOL!
I like this coordinate a lot XD
On the way to Saitama Super Areana, and already we were feeling the chilliness of the wind.
Edris was kinda happy though, since she LOVED the cold, but it wasn't long before she starts to feel shivery. LOL, trust me, for her to be cold, it has to be REALLY cold.
Alighting at Saitama station was really memorable. You can see a lot of Visual Kei-dressers, more than you normally see anywhere in Japan. It was such a sight but no, that was not made it memorable. Have you ever heard/said/being said to the phrase "So skinny that you can be blown off by the wind"?
That day, I got to be skinny.
The wind blew me to the side, blew me forward, blew till the trees at the side were waving fanatically, threatening to fall over on us. It was so funny that I could only just laugh. I actually thought I could just buy a jacket over there, since Edris told me that there might be a mall nearby. But nope, everywhere I see were just restaurants, cafes, conbini, and one DVD rental store. Okay, maybe I was feeling too cold to venture around, so after we queued up to buy her Gazette goods, we went to hide at a Udon restaurant.
My Lunch
Quite forgotten how much was it but it was rather cheap as compared to SG's.
I could never feel really full when I eat Udon so I am grateful that they included the Sashimi(mashed) rice together with the set.
So after the lunch, I decided to hide in Starbucks while waiting for the concert to end. I even brought my book with me.
Many people asked me, why did I choose to wait for hours, not doing anything when I am already in Japan, the country that I had been dreaming of going since young.
"Wouldn't you be bored?" they asked.
Initially, I thought of the 'unfairness'. Since I was just there waiting because my friend was there to attend some concert. However, that's all depending on how you see it. Yes, I could make more use of my time in Tokyo, since I am "here anyways". It is same thing as how this is a vacation trip, not "cram everything within these dates and do all you can!" trip. It would not be a break from all the workload I was dying to let go of.
For me, it was a blessing in disguise.
I was not able to tap into the WiFi for some reason so I was totally cut off from the outside world (that I understood). Surprisingly, it was the first time I felt completely at peace. No deadline, no work, no chatting. Just sitting down with a cup of coffee and people watching - actually, because it was too cold, there were not many people walking about outside...
I mean, how often do people stop checking their phones in cafes and just relax? For those who were too assumed into the hassle and bustle of our city life, these kind of moments are really rare.
Caramel Macchiato Large, the pricing is more or less the same ^.^
It was truly the land of convenience. LOL
